A note from Andy in the Pro Shop

It is with great honour that I have been chosen to be the new Professional at King Edward Bay Golf Club.

I’ve been a fully qualified PGA Professional since 1997 and have worked at all the Island’s clubs in some capacity, as either Assistant Professional, Head Professional or in a coaching role.

I started playing as a 12 year old at ‘Howstrake’ many moons ago, caddying for my Dad so the place holds many special memories for me.

I have specialized in coaching over the last few years and that’s where I feel my real passion lies. Investment in a Trackman unit has helped me understand much more about helping golfers improve and is an essential aid for clubfitting. I also enjoy providing a service to welcome both members and visitors alike to the club.

My main aims include building a ‘hub’ for everyone that visits the Club and to bring support to its financial welfare including promoting membership, providing excellent services as well as encouraging new golfers to take up the game at the ‘friendliest club on the Island’

The shop will be open at the club’s busiest times, weekends of course, perhaps a couple of days in the week and I’d love to welcome you next time you’re up. I’ve created a small area where you can grab a coffee and sit down for a chat alongside a good stock of the traditional pro shop goodies.

I look forward to help you in any way I can and don’t hesitate to get in touch via email or 07624 466996.
